What is an adverse event?

An adverse event is any unwanted medical occurrence in a person who has been vaccinated that may or may not have been caused by vaccination. An adverse event can be any unfavorable and unintended sign, symptom, or disease associated with administration of a vaccine.

Why report adverse events?

By reporting adverse events you help us to monitor the safety of our vaccines and therefore to ensure the safety of travelers who have been vaccinated with our vaccines. If you or a person you are reporting on behalf of are currently suffering from a severe adverse event, you should contact your local doctor before reporting the event to us.
